I have a cymbal case i bought in 1989 (i think). dont use it much these days, as i have a hard shell Zildjian one, but it's still in the cupboard, and still works fine. all the riveting round the edges where the material joins seems to be very well done and quite resiliant.

gotta keep 'em outta the wet tho!

the material seems to be very hard cardboard, and buckles if exposed to too much moisture.

yeah my bass drum case has moisture damage on one side. I got a good deal on them
and they fit my hayman kit perfect.
