Tama Royalstar Drums

Post  polar bear on Thu Mar 25, 2010 1:52 am

Hey folks. Recently I bought a kit of vintage Tama and Pearl stuff.

The Tama gear was Royalstar, in natural finish. Including a 22" bass drum, a 12 inch tom, a 16 inch floor tom and a 14" Swingstar snare (up for sale! Smile)

The floor tom is currently not in action, as the holes for the legs are poked on two of the mounts, and it's missing a mount entirely.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has any mounts suitable for one of these beasts! I'm looking at tidying it up.

I might take some photos of Pearl stuff, I believe it's from the 60s.

Your pretty game ballancing that Floor tom on the hand rail like that Polar Bear! And in Welly too! What's the depth on that thing? Sorta 70's looking.

ha! Beautiful day as always in Wellington. Still as anything. Smile That's the south coast, so unless there's a southerly, it's all good.

As for the age, yes, it's either 70's or early 80's. My hope is that one of the Tama chaps on here has some leg mounts that may be suitable for it. Smile
