Favorite cymbal

Post  Mark [Admin] on Sat May 22, 2010 9:14 pm

Bit quiet around here! Favorite cymbal and why...

Mines an old 50's A with 2 rivets wash never gets in the way of the stick sounds, it's dark and you can crash it rabbit

Can I have 2?
Coz my 17"and 19" Paiste New Signature Dark Energy Crashes STILL give me the shivers every time I play them.

24" Dream Contact...it's a very crashable ride...lovely stick definition and a subtle washy undertone.....sounds like a work of art!!

yep...quite a drama but we've luckily escaped with no problems apart from a photo frame. hell of a way to wake up...kids were very frightened as we rode it out sitting in one of our cars parked in the driveway. still getting lots of little shakes and have been told to expect another biggie. thanks for your concern. cheers

Favorite cymbal changes often. At the moment, believe it or not it's a horrible little ZBT splash stacked directly on top of a godawful B8 crash and hung from an upside down boom. Hard to describe the sound but the word trash keeps coming to mind.

Actually I guess that's two cymbals, but they were never very interesting by themselves.

I've got 16, 18 and 19 inch Paiste 2002 thin crashes but the 16 inch is the unexpected favorite here. Just sounds rad!

Anyone ever hear the paiste 2000 Sound reflections series? blue writing..
anyway, by far the crispiest cymbals i've heard. sex to my ears. i have the 20" ride but cant seem to find any of the others.. used to have a 14" crash and 14" hats.

ALSO, the old ZYN cymbals were pretty pleasant, weren't they?
